WHO ARE WE?
Spuner4Kids supports the daycare center in providing the best possible conditions for the children's play and adventure world, as well as for the valuable educational work of the educators. We support with in-kind donations, finance and organize excursions and projects, and assist with events. We are always open to new ideas for making the children's daily routine playful, creative, and exciting. The association pursues exclusively non-profit purposes.
We are a diverse group of parents, grandparents, educators, and former members. We now have over 50 dedicated members with various talents who contribute actively or financially. The grown-ups for the little ones – together we can achieve more!
WHY A SUPPORTING ASSOCIATION?
Unfortunately, public funds for daycare centers are often insufficient and are earmarked for specific purposes, usually for infrastructural maintenance or renovation.
There's hardly any scope for additional projects. In addition, due to staffing shortages, the daycare center often lacks the time resources to implement its own plans and wishes. In order to be able to fulfill many of the children's wishes and offers, both large and small, in 2013, dedicated parents set out to support the daycare center through a support association, which allows them to actively participate in the development opportunities of our children at the daycare center. The goal is to consolidate and organize previously privately funded projects for the daycare center, such as clothing markets, volunteer work assignments, organizing festivals, etc.
WHAT CAN THE SUPPORTING ASSOCIATION DO?
In addition to participating in public tenders, the support association can accept financial resources and donations in kind from public institutions, companies, and private individuals and issue corresponding donation receipts. The board and members of the association decide how these funds are used. The association also puts forward its own proposals or can incorporate ideas, wishes, and needs from teachers, educators, and parents. These projects are always discussed with the daycare center management, who can also make suggestions, to determine their feasibility at the daycare center. The decision as to which project will be supported rests with Spuner4Kids. The daycare center has no voting rights but is welcome to advise the support association.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to the founding members for their initiative and for everything they have achieved so far. Together, we will continue to achieve even more in the future.
WAS BEDEUTET SPUNER?
"Spuner" is the name of our little goat mascot, who quietly brings the children fun things and activities. We chose a goat because, in addition to rabbits, our daycare center also has two real goats – Oskar and Joshi – that our children, teachers, and parents care for. The name "Spuner" is simply derived from the two initial letters "SPiel UNd ERlebniswelt" (the name of our daycare center).
